Sherry has always enjoyed working with people as well as setting and accomplishing goals, so upon graduating from the University of South Carolina, she pursued her passion for athletics. After spending five years as a high school girl’s basketball coach, she moved on to the collegiate ranks where she spent 20 years as a Division I Head Women’s basketball coach. During her career, she amassed numerous conference championships as well as 2 NCAA appearances. Along with her coaching responsibilities, she also served as the Senior Women’s Administrator overseeing nine women’s sports. After retiring from the college ranks and the athletic arena she moved to the wonderful Santa Rosa Beach area. She quickly took up another one of her passions, the real estate business. Initially she worked with one of the largest real estate companies in the area, then went on to earn her Real Estate Broker’s license and helped market and open a private development company along Hwy. 30-A. Sherry is now excited to be part of The Beach Group and looks forward to working in the open real estate market again.
Sherry enjoys working with people and helping them accomplish their goals. She brings her competitive spirit to her real estate business and is always looking for that “best deal” on the market. Her clients become not only business relationships but long time friends as she knows finding that special home or condo along the coast is very personal to her clients.
When we decided to expand our real estate horizons, we spent two years and vetted a host of seaside locations. From the laid back Carolina low country, to the Keys and back up the gulf coast all the way to Point Pleasant Alabama, our criteria were shaped on our background; life in Destin in the 70’s followed by many years on the island of St. John in the Caribbean. We were looking for a fine balance of natural beauty, top tier amenities, and a warm and welcoming attitude. We found everything and more here on 30A. Scenic highway 30A is an archipelago of “island communities” set amidst white sand beaches and peaceful inland lakes many bounded by park and preserve lands. Each community from Rosemary Beach and Carillon in the East, through Seacrest and Alys, to the first of the remarkable St. Joe properties, Watersound, then on to Seagrove, Seaside and Watercolor offers its own unique identity. The western section of 30A features communities as diverse as the back time Florida villages of Grayton, Blue Mountain, and Dune Allen, and over the entire course of 30A are located dozens of smaller” boutique developments”. The planning, development, and execution of these 30A communities define what the concept of “ New Urbanism” is all about. Our real estate roots run deep. We are licensed Brokers, General Contractors, Certified General Appraisers and Mortgage Brokers. We’ve got quite a few rodeos under our belt and we work exclusively for you as “single agents”. In this vacation or retirement home market you need more than ever to be proactive and having a knowledgeable agent representing your express wants and needs is a must.
